Jeff Bumstead
In the spring of 2017, Jeff decided that he would like to organize a Golf Tournament in memory of his friend and teammate Peter Robinson. Since Peter was #9 on the Vasey Countrymen (and proud of it) the tournament would be held on the 9th day of the 9th month.
Orr Lake Golf course was booked and the word was spread… and what a response it was. He had booked 9 holes and soon realized that wasn’t going to cut it. Luckily the generous people who had booked the other 9 agreed to move their date and he was able to increase to an 18 hole tournament.
It didn’t take long for the 144 golfers to sign up and everything was ready to go. However, there was another snag when he found out there was a wedding on the same day and the dinner for the tournament would not be able to be held at the course…

Peter's family set up the Peter Robinson Fund in his name with the Huronia Community Foundation to enable us to give back to the community in his name forever.
